Genuine replacement OEM BMW valve cover gasket kit for the first generation BMW B58 engine. This kit seals the valve cover to the top portion of the engine cylinder head to prevent motor oil from leaking out as it travels around the camshafts, rockers and valves.
This valve cover gasket is a common failure point for aging B58-powered vehicles, leading to oil leaks. Symptoms include:
- Low engine oil light
- Burning oil smells
- Smoke coming from the valve cover area
- Oil on spark plug threads

- BMW F22/F23 M240i (2016-2021)
- BMW F30/F31/F34 340i (2016-2019)
- BMW F32/F33/F36 440i (2016-2019)
In 2019, the B58 engine had a refresh (found on the G42 M240i, G20 M340i & Toyota Supra etc) This kit is not suitable for those vehicles.
