Lead Vehicle Technician

R44 Performance is a leading automotive online parts retailer, providing a one stop shop for Styling, Performance and Accessories. We strive for the best customer service and products available.

Additionally, to the website / warehouse we have the R44 Workshop & Wrap and Detailing bay. The inhouse workshop carries out daily product installs, product install guides for our YouTube and product research & development.

With our inhouse brands specialising in carbon fibre, we carry out our own research & development including product CAD design. Every day is different. Motorsports is our way of life so you will often find our team visiting track days and running company events.

Scope of the role:

We are currently looking for a full-time member of our growing team to work in the R44 workshop carrying out all product installs, product knowledge and assisting product development. Our team is built of hard-working team players that will always go the extra mile for every customer and colleague.

You will have to be able to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines and be calm and adaptable. You will need to be reliable, organised and have excellent time management. It is essential that you have a “can-do” attitude as we are a small team and all rely on each other to perform their duties to the best of our abilities.

As lead workshop technician your key responsibilities will include:

Planning of workshop fittings, ensuring you have parts from the parts department and the correct time booked for the job.Carrying out product installations inside of the workshop within quoted times keeping to R44 high standards at all times. Our workshop work ranges between bolt on aftermarket parts such as lowering springs, coilovers, exhausts, body kits and induction kits.Researching and implementing new workshop technology.Working with the product development team providing input on installation methods.Team training & General workshop health and safetyTool & workshop consumable managementHousekeeping to be at the highest as the R44 workshop is to be treated like an F1 GarageR44 is open Mon – Fri 9-5 and will require availability 2 Saturdays per month

Technical skills:

Minimum of an NVQ or equivalent Level 3 in Motor vehicle mechanics and diagnosticsBMW and/or VAG experience3 years of Main dealer experience or 5 years of private specialist experienceWell-spoken and written English to carry out job cards and reportsTool Box will be provided by R44 – Your own tools can be used if preferred.

Hiring process:

Submit a cover letter alongside your CV outlining why you’re a good fit for this role. This will be followed by a brief phone call and in-person interview with the director. Lastly a practical exercise at our HQ.

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: £22,000.00 - £35,000.00 per year

Warehouse Manager

We are currently looking for a full-time Warehouse Manager to join our growing team in North London. Our team is built of hard-working team players that will always go the extra mile for every customer and colleague.

You will have to be able to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines and be calm and adaptable. You will need to be reliable, organised and have excellent time management. It is essential that you have a “can-do” attitude as we are a small team and all rely on each other to perform our duties to the best of our abilities.

The primary task of this job is to manage and maintain operations within the warehouse, stock managemnet inc creating orders and warehouse staff.

Working Monday to Friday, you will manage a small team and ensure the smooth operation of the warehouse at all times.

The successful Warehouse Manager’s duties will include:

Manage operations of the warehouse and warehouse staff. Manage and maintain efficient processing of goods in/out and deliveries. Managing product QC, final prep and packaging. Manage stock levels within the WMS software aswell as creating PO’s for restock inline with sale trends. Ensure warehouse is maintained in a good condition and is always a clean, safe working environment. Maintain branch health and safety records in accordance with the HR & Compliance Manager’s guidance.

You will be the head of knowledge and operations of our WMS software called Orderwise.

You will have excellent communication skills and, ideally, previous warehouse management knowledge. You will be comfortable taking the initiative and delegating tasks.

-Hours: Monday to Friday 09:00 – 17:00.

-Confident in using in store systems and working to processes

-Proficient with Excel and Gmail, ideally Zebra scanner knowledge

Shopify Web Developer

Scope of role:

We are currently looking for a full-time Shopify Developer to join our growing team in North London. Our team is built of hard-working team players that will always go the extra mile for every customer and colleague. You would join the eCommerce and design team, managing our multiple Shopify websites. You would undertake various projects as specific needs or issues arise as we work to improve our websites to build beautiful and functional e-commerce websites on Shopify Plus for the best customer experience.

You will have to be able to work under pressure, meet relatively tight deadlines and be calm and adaptable. You will need to be reliable, organised and have excellent time management. It is essential that you have a “can-do” attitude as we are a small team and all rely on each other to perform our duties to the best of our abilities. Understanding and experience with project management tools like Asana would help greatly.

Qualifications & experience you should have:

-Shopify and Shopify Plus experience

-Liquid template language

-Excellent knowledge of modern cross-browser HTML5+, ES6+ and CSS3+ (SCSS)

-Experience building high-quality, responsive layouts with smooth interactions, transitions and animations, optimized for both mobile and desktop.

-Ability to apply best practice modular web development

-Fluency with version control and Git flows.

-Fluency in interpreting and working with third-party APIs

-Awareness of the most established libraries, their ecosystems and how to choose between them

-Awareness of web performance best-practice, developing for accessibility and SEO

-Front end design knowledge of UI/UX would be great however not essential.

-Minimum of 1+ years experience in a Shopify developer position or similar

-Positive attitude!
